About the Role
We are seeking an Internal Auditor well versed with Finance and Process Compliance to support our client's projects for multiple entities across Oman and Qatar mainly. The ideal candidate shall independently audit finance and business processes, supervise and monitor department-wise process compliance, strengthen internal controls, and report risks and deviations across five entities under common ownership in Oman and Qatar, including any additional entities added in future.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit and process compliance plan covering the five current entities in Oman and Qatar and any future entities added to the audit mandate.
Supervise and monitor department-wise process compliance across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, HR, IT and Administration without assuming operational ownership.
Review monthly book closures, financial statements, reconciliations, journals, schedules, cash flows and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness and IFRS and legal compliance.
Audit financial and operational controls covering revenue, receivables, payables, procurement, payroll, treasury, stock, WIP, costing, fixed assets, cash and bank, receipts and payments, including surprise checks, Physical verifications and stock take.
Review SAP B1 posting accuracy, master data, user access, segregation of duties, approval workflows and audit trails.
Test compliance with approved SOPs, policies, delegated authorities, approval matrices, legal requirements and management controls across all departments.
Identify control gaps, fraud risks, process deviations and root causes; issue practical recommendations and agree corrective actions with process owners.
Track corrective actions, validate closure evidence and escalate overdue or high-risk findings to the Managing Director / designated ownership representative.
Prepare and present audit and process compliance reports, coordinate with external auditors, and support SOP and control improvements while department heads remain accountable for implementation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Chartered Accountant Finalist / Qualified ACCA / CIA / CMA or equivalent professional qualification Minimum 8 years of experience in Internal Audit, Process Audit, Statutory Audit or Finance Controls (including 3 years of audit-firm articleship or equivalent assurance experience.)
Multiple Industry Experience namely in FMCG/manufacturing (Financial Review and Department-Wide Process Compliance)
Mandatory hands-on experience with Advanced Excel, MS Office, SAP/ERP and accounting systems, Audit Working Papers, Process Mapping, and Power BI or similar tools (Dashboard Reporting)

Working days and hours : Saturday to Thursday (9 hrs/day) 8:30 until 17:30
Candidate should be currently in or willing to relocate to Oman.
