About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Executive Head of Academics to join our client’s leadership team based in Dubai, UAE. The Academic Director will provide executive-level oversight of the school’s academic strategy, curriculum development, and performance management, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the overall academic strategy, curriculum development, and performance management, providing executive guidance to the Principal, Vice Principal, and academic leadership teams.
Establish educational standards, curriculum frameworks, and performance benchmarks aligned with the school’s vision and international best practices.
Oversee assessment systems, analyze academic data, and implement improvement plans to enhance student outcomes and teaching effectiveness.
Drive instructional excellence through classroom observation, coaching, professional development, and capacity-building initiatives for teachers and academic leaders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (KHDA for Dubai-based schools) and maintain high standards in academic governance and inspection readiness.
Foster an inclusive, learner-centered culture that promotes innovation, reflective practice, and continuous improvement across all academic programs.
Act as an educational ambassador in professional networks, forums, and stakeholder engagements to enhance the school’s reputation and partnerships.
Support the DCEO in strategic planning, policy implementation, and school-wide initiatives to achieve organizational goals and academic excellence.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Master’s, Doctoral, or PhD-level qualification in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
3–5 years of academic leadership experience in Private School Academic Leadership (UAE or South Africa)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
3-5 years of academic leadership in UAE along with mandatory KHDA inspection and compliance experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strategic planning and academic governance expertise
Data-driven decision-making
Regulatory compliance expertise High-level stakeholder management skills
Language Proficiency
Fluent at English (written and spoken)
Zulu, Xhosa or Afrikaans will be considered a plus
