About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will handle general ledger management and reporting, lead the team and oversee all accounts operations with accuracy and accountability towards the Head of Finance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the accounts team and carry out all finance and accounts operations.
Produce accurate monthly/quarterly/annual financials.
Ensure IFRS, Tax, and statutory compliance; manage audits and liaise with auditors.
Budgeting & Forecasting-Build and track budgets/forecasts/variance; deliver cost-control and Revenue.
Oversee billing, collections, and vendor payments; maintain credit control and timely receivables; streamline
processes to optimize working capital.
Monitor cash flow, P&L, and the balance sheet to support business decisions.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.
Monitor intercompany transactions
Effective management of group company accounts and reconciliations.
Establish/monitor robust internal controls; develop SOPs and enforce policy compliance.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management
Timely submission of management reports and financial analyses.
Support automation and process improvement initiatives within the finance department.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in Commerce (B.Com) with Semi or Fully Qualified ACCA/ICAI
Minimum 8 years of experience (inclu. a min of 2 years in auditing firm & 2+ years managing a team)
Working knowledge in ERP, accounting software’s & proficient in Excel


Key Skills
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial regulations.
General Ledger Management & Financial Reporting
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Cash flow Management
Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.
Proficiency in ERP, Excel & accounting software’s
Having a process driven mindset & approach
Analytic & Data driven
Team Management
Compliances & Risk management
Experience handling multiple entities/group companies


Language Skills
Fluent at English (written and spoken)
Hindi will be considered a plus

Other Details
Preferred Joining Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Workdays & Timing: Monday to Friday (830am to 630pm)
Location: Currently or willing to relocate to Sharjah, UAE.
