About the Role
We are hiring a senior and experienced Director – Tax & Compliance to lead our client's firm, a well-established UAE tax consultancy firm with over 6 years of successful operations and a strong compliance reputation. In this role, you will oversee all tax and regulatory activities, ensure full adherence to UAE compliance frameworks, and drive firm-wide operational and commercial growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical tax expertise, strong leadership and commercial acumen, and a long-term vision aligned with a future ownership pathway.

Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance & Technical Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, and AML compliance; conduct final review and quality control of all filings; represent the firm before the FTA, audits, and regulatory clarifications; ensure full adherence to regulatory frameworks and manage compliance-related risks.
Business Growth & P&L Responsibility: Drive revenue growth and profitability; introduce advisory and value-added services; enhance margins, systems, and operational efficiency; prepare quarterly MIS reports and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
Team & Operations Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the tax team; oversee hiring, training, and performance management; establish SOPs, streamline processes, and optimize operations; maintain high service quality at scale.
Client & Stakeholder Leadership: Act as senior escalation point for key clients; build and maintain long-term client relationships; provide strategic insights and support to the firm’s founders and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Professional Qualification: CA, ACCA, CPA, CTA, or CMA.
Experience: 8–12+ years of UAE tax and compliance experience.
Technical Expertise: Extensive FTA audit, advisory, and regulatory exposure.
Leadership: Proven leadership experience in tax firms or consultancy environments.
Preferred: Experience growing a professional services firm and Commercial mindset with technical depth
Key Attributes: Ownership mindset / High integrity & accountability / Strategic thinker with execution focus
Language Proficiency
Mandatory: English (spoken and written).
Preferred: Arabic or Hindi (an advantage).
