About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and treasury functions while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT regulations. You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, driving process automation, and supporting strategic financial planning. This position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting expertise, and the ability to lead a small team with precision and integrity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements; ensure IFRS, VAT, and audit compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Build and monitor budgets and forecasts; provide variance analysis and financial insights.
Taxation & Regulatory: Manage corporate tax and VAT filings; ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and credit control; optimize working capital.
Treasury & Cash Flow: Monitor liquidity, banking operations, and funding needs to support business continuity.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Implement SOPs, strengthen controls, and drive ERP/MIS efficiency.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the accounts team; promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce (MBA-Finance preferred).
3–5 years of experience in similar position (in Finance/Accounting).
Proficiency in MS Office tools; exposure to ERP systems preferred.
Strong working knowledge of ERPs, Accounting Softwares, Reporting Tools, MIS.
Excellent language skills at English (Hindi, Tamil & Malayalam will be considered a plus)


Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in Pharmaceutical Industry/Drug Store or similar.

Other Details
Should be willing to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Comfortable with 6 working days/week (7am-4pm or 8.30-5.30pm)
Flexible to work on hybrid mode (On-site and WFH)
Should possess driving license (UAE or International Driving Permit)
