About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee General Ledger management and reporting, lead the team and oversee all accounts operations with accuracy and accountability. This position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting expertise, and the ability to lead a small team with precision and integrity.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end accounting operations including GL, journal entries, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing
Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation requirements, and statutory financial regulations
Develop and maintain accounting controls, policies, and Chart of Accounts structure
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis including variance reporting
Develop monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and management performance insights
Monitor cash flow planning, working capital, collections, and payment cycles
Review and control bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations
Manage fixed asset accounting including equipment capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure compliance closure
Drive ERP utilization, finance process improvements, and automation initiatives
Supervise finance executives and ensure timely, accurate transaction processing
Analyze financial data to identify risks, cost optimization opportunities, and business trends
Support Finance Manager in financial planning, reporting, and decision-making
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s of Commerce (B.Com) with Semi Qualified CA/ACCA
Minimum 7 years of experience (including 3 years in an Audit Firm)
Minimum 2 years of experience with Team Leadership
Industry Experience within Manufacturing, Trading or Rental
Strong working knowledge of Advanced Microsoft Excel, Accounting Softwares and ERPs.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial regulations.
General Ledger (GL) management & month-end/year-end closing
Preparation and review of financial statements (P&L, BS, CF)
Chart of Accounts management and accounting controls
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & variance analysis
Monthly MIS reporting and management dashboards
Cash flow management and forecasting
Bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations
Fixed Asset Accounting & depreciation management
Audits co-ordination, Internal controls and compliance checks
Team Management skills
Strong ERP/accounting system knowledge
Having a process driven mindset & approach
Analytical & Data driven
Language Skills
Fluent at English (written and spoken)
Arabic or 2nd Languages will be considered a plus
Other Details:
Working days and hours : Monday to Saturday (9 hrs/day) 8:30 until 17:30
Candidate should be currently in or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE.
